Last one...I swear...Des, Juliet and Hurley are semi-long shots, and Charlie, with all this build-up, is pretty certain to live. Just one last note, if Locke dies, I quit, I'm out, and I won't watch again. Lost without Locke...there's just no point.

I think there have been way too many deaths and I'm tired of them but I'll keep watching until Locke and Desmond go. I'm hoping they'll be around till the very end of the whole series. I don't mind at all if Jack goes but I wouldn't put my money on that bet (though I had thought it would be him at first hearing of the deaths). But now I think it's going to be Sayid and Kate. I've heard Ben, too but I hope not. He's my favorite Other and Michael Emerson is an awesome actor ... as are Henry Ian Cusick and Terry O'Quinn. If all of those go ... I think the joy of the story will be gone for me. But I feel safe that Desmond will not die in S03. His story with Naomi (the parachutist) brings life to his character and a new way to go on with him.

I think it is unlikely Jack will bite the dust. He's considered the show's anchor by producers, like it or not. Personally, I wouldn't miss him, but unless he WANTS to leave the show, I think he will be around till the series ends. I think besides Charlie, Sayid is one of the most likely candidates. If the upcoming episode, "The Brig" resolves certain aspects of Sawyer's story, he is also vulnerable. Sawyer is very popular, especially with women fans. (I know killing him would do the Lost in for me and a number of my friends, even though I am pretty fanatical about the show.) Other possibilities could be Jin, leaving a devastated and panicked Sun, and possibly even Locke as his story may be more or less finished this year as well. I would hate to see either Ben or Juliet go, although both are possibilities. More likely, minor "Others" like Tom or Mikhail will meet their end.

Okay so it's obvious some people Hate Jack, but if you kill him where does the show go? Like it or Lump it he's the main character & next to Locke in my opinion central to the story...I personally love Jack's character & along with Locke if either one of them was killed i truely believe i would have a hard time going back to the show..That said I am still nervous that tptb are CrAzy enough to do it... Everyone else frpm the show is kinda expendable (thats quite fickel of me), even Sawyer which is knda sucks because I loved him in S1/2, this season he is begining to grate on me..

anon, how is Jack central to the story? So far they have shown us nothing that connects him to the island other than what he has done since he got there. He's central due to how TPTB have placed him and so far nothing more. Unless he can be tied directly to the island some how (like Locke and his legs, Hurley and his numbers or even Desmond and the button) I see no way that he is vital to the story. Of course that could change between now and the finale. And I'm hoping it will because I have absolutely noting invested in that character and don't care if he goes or stays. I favor the characters that have been shown to have a direct connection to the island since most of us still wonder "why them? why the island?"

I think that a Charlie's death would be too predictable and not shocking at all. Jack's flashbacks are getting stale but the losties will suffer without medical expertise (since they don't trust Juliet) and leadership (Sawyer has a LONG way to go before becoming a good leader). So, it would be risky to kill Jack off now. Moreover, we don't know what exactly happened to him when he was with the others. I bet there is more to it than meets the eyes. Can't wait for the next eppy!

...I'm predicting Desmond is gonna bite it...there have been many MANY hints that his character's time might be due...for one, there's the old lady, lovingly referred to as Mother Time, who tells him that "the only good thing" he would do in his life is push that button...he hasn't done that all season (lol), so is he already living on borrowed time. In "Flashes Before Your Eyes" when he tried to warn the bartender of an impending attack, the bartender ducked his attacker's swinging Cricket Bat, which wound up hitting Des instead...so, if Des keeps saving Charlie, is he making himself more and more a target for the malevolance intended for Charlie? I love Desmond's character, and would hate to see him go...the crux is that no matter who it is, it's going to be painful...I also have an inkling that it might be Sayid...don't know why...I could do without Hurley, but I know I'm alone on that one...

To say the show would be fine without Jack is like saying the show would be able to survive without Locke, or Sawyer. If any of those three were to perish, I would definitely go in search for another TV programme. Lost just wouldn't be Lost.

I wouldn't consider watching a Lost without Jack. Have we watched the previous seasons for THAT??? I can live without Sawyer pretty easily (sorry to his fans but he's just a simple, fun character and he's used in Season 3 more than necessary) but Jack, as well as Locke, is the ones making Lost a serious drama. Killing them, Jack/Locke is like killing the show's soul.
