Personally, I felt the second season lacked that special something the first season had.  I still liked it a lot but just not as much as S1.  I think JJ has a knack for making this show even better (he was one of the creative forces that developed it!) so that fact that he's involved makes me VERY, VERY happy!!!

I thought the second season was not only as good as the first, it was actually better. Did it suffer without JJ? Not at all, though I welcome his return.

It's one of those things - without season 1, season 2 wouldn't be possible but season 2 shifted gears and upped the ante, I'm sure season 3 will do the same. I like that season 2 had more of an arc to it with the hatch and Desmond.   As for JJ - he does quality material - it could only help to have him back.... but Damon has already stated they know where they are going just not every detail on how to get there.

I've only seen the DVDs her in Denmark, but I think that the special effects may improve with JJ, but I think the storyline will suffer.  What do you folks thingin the States think?

JJ is the man. Also, to the author: He took time off to direct MI:3, not MI:2.

It says MI: III.

Anyway, I'm so excited to have JJ back...you could see the obvious dropoff between the first and second seasons.

I hate the show.. yet I can't miss an episode.  I just want it to be done!  Nothing is worse than an episode where they walk down a beach and nothing happens.
