Sounds a lot like a remake of the story of Rock Ridge

The eevill Hedley Lamarr (played by Ben) is about to send his army of thugs, hooligans, and despots into the town of Rock Ridge (set in the beach front community of the losties' Tentville) to do their wickedness. Unknown to them though, the sheriff (played by Jack) has won the acceptance of the townsfolk and has a plan. They have rigged up their town with dynamite. Unfortunately, their detonator/wiring doesn't pass the test. So, they rely on their ace marksman the Waco Kid (played by the trio of Sayid, Bernard, and Jin) to make steady aim with their gun(s) to pop off a shot and blow the whole town to smithereens.

In the original, the good folk had to rush back in and build fake manikins of themselves to fool the invading hoard. Have the losties thought about that yet?

Will the ensuing battle end up with a big food fight at the studios commissary? Will Taggart (played by Mr. Friendly) say his famous line, "Piss on you, I'm working for Mel Brooks (played by Cuse&Lindelof)"?

The similarities here are just too striking.
