Where is the Other's Village?

Do we know which island it's on? I just assumed that it was on the main island, the same one that the Losties are on. But having just re-watched the first episode of season three it looks like it could be on the same island that Kate, Jack and Sawyer are being held captive on.

FYI- What made me question this is the ABC site replay at 4:20 into the first episode.

That's the aerial shot of the Other's village from the season opener, right after the camera zoomed out. You can see the two pillars of smoke from the two crash sites on the same island. Benry also told Goodwin her could make it to the crash site in under an hour if he ran.

And your screen cap is the same point in the show that has me wondering. From that angle it could be the new island that the Others camp is on. What looks like a bay could be a strait running between the islands.

why can ppl not see the coast line goin straight to the tail section crash site???
on a side note : i rewatched the episode "?" and in the oreintation video wickman/candle says somethign abotu taking the pala ferry back to the barracks...
the pala ferry was the boat they gave michael right? or thats the docks neway i reckon the hydra is the barracks he was referring to, hance the lockers and showers...
