The X-ray

Guys and gals, I don't think the X-ray is from Ben or any other OTHERS. I think its Locke's. I think thats why Ben was coming for him. I think it makes perfect sense. I think the OTHERS were possibly trying to save him or show him that his tumor has not worsened that is until the Desmond blew the hatch.

Im not so sure. Jack said the Xray was the spine of a 40 year old man, the character of John Locke is over 50. Plus, how would he have gotten Xrays of John? But who knows. Im always wrong.lol

Only because it was in the preview for next week, Jack is telling Benry that he'll die if he doesn't do something about it.

I'm not saying that Jack doesn't say that to Ben (Can we just start calling him Ben already?), but to use the preview as evidence is not strong logic based on the number of times that they have used the preview to mislead about the next episode.

What we do know is that Jack says that line and that they showed Ben's image during it in the preview...like when Jin spoke perfect english.

Jack also said that the tumor was on the L4 vertebra. I am a orthopedic PA and I read spine x-rays all the time. The tumor was actually on the L2 vertebra in the x-ray. I'm not sure if this has any significance, but I've come to suspect any little inconsistency on the show...

Assuming it is Ben's X-ray, I think this shows they can't really leave the island very easily if at all, or he would just go to a hospital to have the operation done in a real operating room with the appropriate supplies and everything. He wouldn't risk letting this less than friendly captive perform surgery on him especially since they don't even have any lap sponges, and who knows what else they are lacking to do the job right.

it would seem benfry wants jack,sawyer and kate for their own benifit. Jack to remove the tumour and probably sawyer to do some sort of con for them as for kate well if i was a other id certainly kidnap her just to make her change her clothes all the time

IF the tumour is on Ben or one of the others Jack will operate. Remember Ben said something about doing a task for him? What else do you ue a doctor for?

If Jack does operate he's gonna expect some answers. I reckon Ben will try to pay jack off with a ticket off the island, but Jack will refuse
