No one is discussing my question, which is an mistake I can see due to some miscommunication of mine. My topic doesn't address the relativity of good and evil and persons' perceptions, but rather the simpler point that the Others have killed the Losties in the past and yet Colleen tried to negotiate her way out of getting shot by threatening that the two groups will become enemies. I figured with the way the Others have been killing the Losties these past two seasons, they were already enemies.

Look back I did answer the question as you posted... to answer this one, the Others kidnapped losties ond only killed when they had to threaten them to get what they wanted. I would hazzard they see the losties more of test subjects or sub human, if one goes out to kill an other on purpose then that cahanges the stakes a bit, she also could have been saying that for the sole purpose of saving her skin.
