I think there was one theme to last season that we are scratching on here a bit. It is that no one was the leader of the survivors. That they were starting for form a society of sorts, with implied rules, etc...but that no one had acknowledged that they were the leader, not even Jack.

By this I mean, that no one was the clearly, and consciously, defined leader of their group. Some people, like Jack, Locke, Sayid, etc...took control in some areas and circumstances, but none were decided upon leaders...and it lead to confrontations.

i got the impression locke knew, or had an idea as he didnt seem too shocked.

You know, when I first saw that Locke picked up a hitch-hiker I thought to myself "Aha!" this is how he ends up getting paralyzed from the waist down... THEN I read a spoiler about the people that his dad ripped off...

Did Anyone catch the cop's name or can link us with a screen shot of his ID? Any Easter eggs with that?

Why?

Because in his "previous" life he was a sucker who got taken advantage of constantly.

this goes along the lines of everyone has another chance on the island. siad a number of times in the show.

I happen to think that he just wants to use his skills for good use and if that makes him a leader then so be it. The one person I think is a terrible leader is Jack. Although it is interesting that the writers put the character in a protagonist place but gave him antagonist qualities making him hated by many. I wouldn't mind seeing him killed off even though it probably won't happen.

There is no point to putting this is spoiler font except for the fact that I haven't used it once yet in this ARG so I thought I'd put it here.
