Default Losing Interest In Lost!?

I hope that this does not upset anyone; however, I am getting kinda upset with the way lost is panning out. I mean, they are not closing any open doors. Ok, you will automatically claim that's whats so great about it. But after the first episode, I got kinda upset. They are totally laying it open an even more open ended story line. In short, too many doors and options are opening. I want some finality before we move onto more mysteries and such. I mean, I totally seeing Jack converting over to the other's side, then that will take a season to unfold. I am sure that the blond who is an other, will some how get into a relationship with Jack. Perhaps even convert to the losties side after a season or two. If I am wrong, which I probably am, thats fine. I am not saying that's what IS going to happen. What I am saying is, this is too much like Days of our Lives. Too many story lines, too many questions, too many possibilites.

In closing, I wanted to see how many out there are getting kinda burnt out on so many unfolding story lines. I have talked to a lot of people where I lived, and they feel the same way. So, any one out there feel the same way?

Lost was designed for, what, 4, 5, 6 seasons? Something like that. Let's say 5. If so, we aren't even half way through the run of the series.

We're pretty much at the time of the story where alot of things are happening, where the story is progressing. We have had alot of our questions answered over the past half season. Of course a whole new batch of questions have been presented. And I expect this is the way it will be for at least one more season, if not 2.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and if you disagree, fair enough, but Lost is getting better and better all the time (imo).

I will admit, I was looking for some answers in the premier. But i still love lost. the thing that bothers me the most is the fact that it is only on once a week. Im not patient

It's becoming fustrating, I want more answers then they are giving us. They need to give more.

If I wasn't already insanely obsessed I'd stop watching...

...For a few weeks then see what I missed.

I guess the typical, dare i say, average american viewer, has a limited attention span. Look @ two of the biggest shows around: 24 & Prison Break. Now I luv 24..it's about as good as it gets. Don't get the whole hoola 'bout Prison Break eventhough the actors are top notch. These show's are kinda simular in there concept (but not quality..24 is far superior...). Get the viewer hooked from the get go & at all cost, don't slow the pace down a bit!! Now people must understand that Lost is a whole different ball game. it's almost like it's its own genre. It's not at all about pace but storytelling. Maybe the writers set the bar a bit too high @ the beginning & expectations are more than high..they're unatainable, given the general public. So my advice is: sit back, go with the flow & give up the constant seeking of answers. Questions are being answered slowly but surely & the constant quest for answers f*cks up the fun!
Here's an interesting article:

Hmm EkoBeach beat me to mentioning Prison Break. I too am starting to slowly drift away from Lost. Dont get me wrong, Lost is an amazing show, but I find myself waiting more for new Prison Breaks in comparison to Lost. Im starting to get a little tired of the unanswered questions, the show moving you along swiftly so you don't notice. Give me Michael Scofield anyday; he's an amazing character.
