Could this be an experiement on loyalty and betrayal? See who professes to be loyal but will betray their "friends" when it will help them?

Michael has already failed THAT test. Could Jack be next?

It just occurred to me that maybe they are testing the three of them to see if any of them will not betray their friends, and therefore be worthy of inclusion in their "other" group?

Thoughts?

i think that is a great theroy, i was thinking something similar to that, but i dont think jack is the kind of person who would betray someone. but good observation.
