the way they were tamping the ground (it was an obvious showing of that) made me think that they're making a road, or another "fake" community.

also, i don't think sayid's plan was all that bad... except for just him going at it against who knows how many people. The reason Sayid and Jin didn't see them getting on the boat-> The dock is pretty freakin long... And it's in deep water. They may not have had an outboard motor, they may have paddled to the dock somehow... but then again there was no boat on the dock after they took the boat.

Ok. another theory of why they got by. Jin and Sayid were looking towards the forest, NOT the dock... They were waiting for the others to come out, and attack them from that vantage point. Jin and Sayid TURNED around when they heard the gunshots, they were'nt even LOOKING at the dock.

IMHO, they should have all been on the boat, with guns ready.

I'll agree that I expected a bit more out of Sayid. When he revealed the plan, I was like 'umm... you can do that?' If he's taking out these guys, then why doesn't he put on a headband, take his **** off and take out all of the Others Rambo style?

I think that Jack was trying to clam up, like how Benry did when he was captured. A bit odd, but it seems that he knew he wouldn't get any answers considering their past dealings with the others.

Juliette seems to be the female equivilent of Benry. Assuming she's as calculating as he is, I'd go so far as to say that once she saw the distraction, the kiss, she expected what was happening, and got Kate right away. It's a stretch, I know, but hell, they caught Kate flatfooted before, lol

As for getting on the boat....teh Others have been borderline supernatural from the start. Remember how invincible Ethan seemed when we first met him? I think that they could sneak around Jin/Sayid pretty easily. What bothered me with this was that considering everything, Sayid should have known this, but also, I'm assuming that the Others had been watching the 3 for a while (to know where S/J were hiding). Wouldn't they have known Sun was on the boat? Blondie seemed surprised when she realised that someone was there (I think when she saw the stove).

Random thought. I missed the fisrt 10mins or so, but I read that Benry said to Juliette something like 'you never brought me soup'. When she fed Jack. Now it seems that most people are assuming this is a jab considering their past relationship. What if Benry was once a prisoner as Jack was? Don't have much to back this up other than that line (which I didn't even see), but ran across my mind.

Other questions: Where the hell are the tailies?
Anyone remember any of the tailies names, so we could try to match them up? What about those kids?

I'm still at a loss about the whole 'I've lived here my whole life' thing.....

I also feel like there are more answers here than we've gotten yet. Just by being logical and thinking things through from what we know.....

hey guys, new to the forum, love the show from the begining and am up todate on season 3. jus had to post a few things ive been thinkin.

1.notice how the dharma logo resembles the South korea flag, and some other buddhist symbol?
2. it really looks to me like sawyer knows juliette, a long shot but jus a thot, how he acts with her.
3. thot sayid could hav done abit better lol coz he shud hav been watchin the direction of the boat.
4 small note, i saw that on dock was a sign saying "Pala ferry" so i checked wikipedia n got this:

not much but pay attention to the name of the sucessor in parragraph 2.

The talk about the digging makes me wish they would have at least showed one lousy wide shot.

i agree with cyfo,sawyer definitley knows julia. In the 1st episode there was a look of acknowledgment b4 she tazered him as if to say " what are u doing here?" and then again with the water. I also think julia and benfry were once an item due to the fact he said " you never made me soup!" and she's probably had an affair with someone else on the island sue to utter contempt benfry has for her

Is there a chance the tailies were the other people digging in the background? I was wondering about that.

I don't know.. It looks more like a "Who the hell are you?" look to me.
