I also think that the reason hurley got sent back was because someone did like him, but they changed their mind. It is kinda a stretch but every guess on lost is

|  Juliet is the love interest of Jack. Everything else is unlikely. I really don't see Zeke with Kate... ugh. Juliet likes Sawyer? How so, she sent one of those electrical things into his neck. I really don't think she likes him. |

| Maybe Tom/Zeke and other male others are eunucs(?) you know men with no bits. could be why he is so submisive with the other men, like Ben and to a lesser extent Ethan in the Staff.
