| Mariana, good find. But I gotta tell you, there have been so many new clues in the last three weeks my mind is about to explode. So what could the purpose of the Swan Research Lab be? Various images brought up by the swan include: Swan Lake - Tragic story of love and deceit, where Seigfried choses death rather than a loveless marriage. Ugly Duckling - Not what it appears to be; turned out to be a beautiful swan. Leda & the Swan - Zeus, in the form of a swan rapes Leda, producing three offspring; Castor, Pollux and Helen (of Troy). But no Desmond mentioned in any of them. And nothing that I can come up related to 'Hatch World'. Any ideas?

| I don't know if I'm right but everything I've read and seen has me believing that the Dharma Initiative is a Utopia Cult. Dharma is a Hindu spiritual word. The Alvars (Alvar Hanso) are Hindu Saints. Namaste ( the word cut out in the orientation film - just before the end) means to bow with respect in Hindu. Keeping with this idea, it would stand to reason the Swan would be a Hindu icon. It just so happens that the swan is what Vishnu (a chief Hindu god) rides. It may just be a name that fits the namer's ideology. I don't think it has more to it than that. |

| They have gone to a great deal of effort to name things in a particular way and there are layers upon layer. Of course there has to be more to it than that. |

| There's quite a few threads at The Fuselage that link the swan and the arrow (in the other hatch where the tail section survivors are) to constellations. Sorry I don't have the link, but if you go to thefuselage.com it's not hard to find. |
