Questions about LOST fanfic

I've been wondering: is there much Lost fanfic out there? Have the
show creators ever mentioned whether they are supportive of fic (some
peeps - like Joss Whedon -love it, some - like JK Rowlings - hate it.)
And if you've read any, I'd like to know what you thought of it in
relation to enjoying the show; does it diminish your enjoyment, enhance
it, add or subtract anything? Would you recommend any specific stories
or fic authors? And also, with LOST being what it is, do you think
there are any unusual challenges in keeping the mystery of the show
intact?
