Talking Kelvin? Hanso?

Ok...so this is my first post so be gentle. But after looking at the photo of Alvar Hanso, far too many times, he seems to resemble Kelvin. (imho) If you think of the actor Clancy Brown and look at the face in the window, I dunno, I think they kinda look alike. Just my thoughts.....carry on.

Welcome!
The problem would be with the timeline (not that we can trust anything).
Kelvin was on the Island from aprox. 2001 to 2004... at the very least. Alvar (supposedly) was last scene publicly one 1/1/2002. It is intesting that these moments are close.

Now that I think about it Desmond landed on the island a few months before Alvar disappeared. Just something to think about in the whole Widmore/Mittlewerk taking over THF thing.

On the other hand, I love Clancy Brown and want more of him.

Default last public appearance...

the question is though what kind of public appearance did he make? for all we know, it wasn't hanso and thf hired someone to impersonate him. maybe nobody saw him well enough to know it was actually hanso, they just assumed it was.

Don't forget that he was in the Gulf War and was kind enough to teach Sayid the fine techniques of torture.

I don't think there is any connection between him and Hanso... being his nephew or something would be an interesting twist.

which makes me wonder...
according to Micintyr, DHARMA ended it's Hanso Foundation association in 1987, which makes sense considering the age of some of the tech at the stations thus far.

Assuming Hughe wasn't lying, which we can assume he was anyway...

Kelvin Joined no earlier than 1991.

So perhaps DHARMA started Military uses in 1987 or later. So hanso cut public funding.

DHARMA does sound more military / government than what a civilian project would be named... especially after we found out what DHARMA stands for.
