Default Geronimo Jackson

Remember the number for hanso as the first clue and we herd geronimo jackson seeing something. like the streets or new york.

Geronimo Jackson's audacious debut. They're a band not a lot of people have heard about. They just pressed one very obscure album in the mid to late 70s. We enjoy unearthing songs that are not the type of things you hear on oldies radio. They help us establish the mood and the setting; the period that the hatch was built

WTF? There's hardly any chance of that being a clue.

Geronimo Jackson are a band, believed to be fictional whose album is found by Charlie and Hurley in the Hatch during the episode The Hunting Party. It makes a reappearance in the episode Lockdown during a scene near episode's beginning, in which Locke is flipping through various albums.
  • On January 19th 2006 a website appeared at www.geronimo-jackson.com. This site has not yet been confirmed to be part of the ABC official websites, or a site created by producers.
  • Upon viewing the source code of the Geronimo-Jackson.com website the following meta-keywords (designed for search engines) reveals the following: "locke and key records, macna carta, magna carta, not just a number, other man, on my own feet again, down in a hole, smoke and mirrors, other side of the tracks, born again"
  • According to their website, the band was formed at the University of Michigan campus, where Gerald DeGroot and Karen DeGroot studied and where the Dharma Initiative began.
  • The picture on the album cover was taken outside of Nashville, TN
  • According to http://www.thelostexperience.com/, this is not a part of the Lost Experience.
[edit]
Theories
  • Both Gerald DeGroot and Karen DeGroot may be members, as they resemble members of the band on the album cover. They could have been flying on a plane to a concert and crashed on the island.
  • The "Locke and Key Records" found in the source code of the Geronimo Jackson webpage may have something to do with John Locke or his family
  • The "Lock and Key Society" is a secret society at Yale.
[edit]
Additonal Info
  • The idea for Geronimo Jackson was inspired by the Quasi-derivative 70's rock band "Javelin Jackson" that has been in existence since 2004. Their website can be found at: http://www.javelinjackson.com/
  • "Geromini" and "Jackson" are the surnames of the directors of the Disney movie "Alice in Wonderland"
  • Lost writers Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof mention in a Lost Podcast that music from the 1970s band "Geronimo Jackson" will be appearing on the show. In reality the band appears to be fictional though, or at very least a reference to 70's band 'Geronimo Black' - who incidentally wrote the song 'Other man', which as we know is an anagram of Ethan Rom.
  • 'Geronimo Black' is presumed to be a reference to the White mountain apache Chief 'Geronimo'. The face on the Geronimo Black Album is obviously that of the Apache Chief 'Geronimo's' (arguably the most famous Apache), but it is also worth noting the similarities in the text between the 1980 'Geronimo Black' Album and the 'Geronimo Jackson' Album to feature in The Hunting Party
-that was on wikkipedia-
