doc. could you please clear something up for me?

is the picture spoilers on the front page real?

the front page of the tail section is for big news that is true.

this site is not the misfits blog so if they are fake could you take them off?

Hey Doc,
I usually love coming to your site here for solid Lost information. I even found it humorous when this person that calls himself "the misfit" joined the site. But now that he's been here, eh....the site is loosing credibility and all I'm seeing is alot of bickering among your members here over it...

I think the only valid complaint I've heard about the misfit is that those who don't already know what he's about could very easily (and frequently do) think his posts are supposed to be taken as valid. I enjoy his blog and find it to be very amusing. But if his posts are going to be allowed on the front page, each one really needs to come with a warning statement that they are not to be taken seriously. I know you can find this out by asking questions or searching old threads, but most people aren't going to do that before they get confused (and apparently annoyed).

look i have no problem with the misfit.

the point is that i would like to know an answer from anyone as to if the misfit is posting fake spoilers on the front page of this forum. and if he is i think he should be stoped. im happy with him puting up spoilers and stuff that are true but the point i will make again. this is not his blog this is a lost fansite for people who like lost to chat and find out a few bits of info. not to post fake spoilers on the internet. if the tail section is posting fake spoilers on the front page and they are mostly wrong then we will loose some credibility. please keep this forum a nice place to be on.

Just because someone doesn't specifically use your nam in their reply doesn't mean they aren't responding to what you are saying. Most of the posts followingyour were certainly agreeing with you.

I think the only way to fix this problem is for several members go to Admin (and frankly I don't know if this is simething doc can do now) and say that we respect the Misfits right to post with in the forums, we think his posts on the first page may not be viewed as the satire they are supposed to be. And that frankly, a person making a cursory glance over the front page might be put off by a site that claims to be a Lost experience site os some stature. That is the way it needs to be addressed--misfit has his place in the fourms where people can challenge him and he has his own blog, where he is king. His addition to the front page lends him an authority at the expense of TTS, which has fought hard to earn its place in the upper echelon of Lost Sites.
