| I think that when Ethan hung Charlie from the tree in Season 1, Charlie was meant to die, but didn't, and at that point something happened .. sort of like he 'cheated' death. Sounds like a final destination movie, i know.. Someone told me Charlie comes back as a hero in Season 4. I hope very much that this is true, but I can't imagine it Wasnt it weird that just when Charlie died Aaron started crying...?? :S I love charlie and Claire and hope that if Charlie really is gone for good Desmond will tell Claire that Charlie died because he wanted to protect her, because that way at least if she and Aaron do not get rescued (I don't think they will) she will know how much Charlie loved her and wanted to protect her. Charlie would have wanted that as the 2nd choice (1st choice he died to save them) Please respond & give thoughts |

| Honestly I dont think he's dead. We never see him dead, the last scene of him is of him on his knees praying. Maybe Desmonds pulls him out, who knows.

| Maybe Jacob saves him. I don't think he's dead either, its not fair that he didnt excactly get them all happily rescued which is what he wanted to happen as a result of his death. Save the junkie, save the world! |

| Sorry to say I think the character of Charlie is dead and gone. I really liked the character and thought there was so much more that could have been done with Charlie except for the storyline of Desmond's flashes. According to the writers... Charlie had to die to add credibility to Desmond's storyline. |

| Oh, like the Charlie's addicts I'm so so sad to see him go. He's funny, almost always smiling, cute, nice... I loved so much his character! Like for Boone... I cried when he died in the Looking Glass. That was so sad! I really hope he's not dead but, we don't have to don't deceive us, he's really dead. Really. The only way to see him back is in the FF and that could be great, but certainly not much more than seeing him daily. By the way, since the season 2 we saw him less than some characters like Jack or Kate or Sawyer. |

| Senior Member | yes. He's dead. The scene was too well played to take it away in a jinx-you-owe-me-a-coke. altho I suspect he might feature in flashabcks. Last edited by clueless1der : 10-05-2007 at 11:30 AM. |

| As much as i would like for him to have cheated death again, I think you are right. He probably bought the farm this time.

| Dom might show up in flashbacks or Island visions down the road (maybe he'll be stalking around in Desmond's flashes?), but he is most certainly dead. The producers said that a definitive decision was reached and that was to kill Charlie. Had he lived, or if he turns out to have survived, then there will be a great faction of viewers who are going to be very upset about being jerked around with the will he or won't he questions all season. "Greatest Hits" was intended as a Charlie send-off; a feel-good kind of puff piece to make us all feel bad for Charlie and maybe even admire him. It didn't work for everybody, as some fans couldn't ever stand him, but it served its purpose. He's dead and he's staying dead, like Christian Shephard.
