"Bearded Man" real name is Tom

when the others are on the dock with Kate, Jack, Hugo and Sawyer, Mrs. Klugh calls him by name, just curious but on the Hanso website, in bios, there is a Thomas Mittelwerk, the picture looks like a younger unbearded Tom...am I mistaken?
