Default Bernards seat?

I thought that Bernard was in the restroom when the plane started going down. But then Ana-Lucia finds him strapped into a seat in the top of tree after the crash.

Are we to assume that he jumped out of the restroom and buckled-up right as the plane starts to break apart?

May have already been covered ,but I don't follow forums much.

Thats what Charlie did, so I think we'd be safe to assume that.

Shotgun Sushi you are wrong. I watched season 2 about 3 or 4 times and they have NEVER said how benard got out of the bathroom and into the seat. We just assume that he did the same as charile did.

For awhile i thought Bernard was sitting in that seat because he was doing something sneaky with someone on the plane till i remembered what charlie did.

still, i did turn out to be pretty sneaky in his flashback episode. hmmm

i think the real question is how did Charlie land with the mid-section survivors. After he came out of the restroom he buckled up in the front section of the plane. How did he miraculously not end up dead like all the others near the front. At first i thought maybe he blew backwards when the tail came off, as a lot of people went flying out. But he was buckled in. Which then leads to how did jack some unbuckled and land away from everyone in the jungle? The way the survivors landed is very strange, almost as if they were placed in specific places by someone else. The others maybe? Or someone else entirely? Surely they couldn't have all survived and landed the way they did because of chance alone.

If i'm not mistaken Charlie didn't go to first class he went to the middle of the plane... But don't you find it ironic how the front of the plane fell off and the tail of the plane fell off and it didn't just split in half? Why did it do that WHY? Well maybe it has something to do with Desmonds hatch with the electro magnetic thingy.

The funny thing about Charlie is that he actually found his heroin in the bathroom in the nose (1st class section) of the plane and not in the fuselage area. Either he was right near the breakoff point for the nose or their is some inconsistency in the writing. Or maybe I am just plain wrong...

This has always bothered me, but I just assumed that Bernard ran to a seat, when the plane started to crash.
