Default Banned

I came across a user with the word "Banned" under his name in the forums. Is this a user level or does this mean the user has been banned from the site?

What would cause someone to be banned from the site?

Verbally attacking an Admin or Moderator is a prime example.

Has anyone ever told you how incredibly smart you are? And you're good looks are AMAZING! Do you model?

Which user was it?

I have my guesses but I won't speculate for fearing of hurting anyone's feelings.

Edit: I went back and checked... it is the moron I was thinking of originally.

Default oh well...

so the banned thing is interesting, but what about celebrating the real milestone poster?so as not to upset those rapidly approaching; i vote you hook the 1,000 post + folks up with a new tag line... senior at 100 you have to have a creative label for 1,000 ;-D Just a thought but it is a noteworthy number.

So can a banned member do anything to become reinstated?

Perhaps a 12-step program to resocialize forum morons?

Or some sort of Tailsection community service, like having to sweep up the expired threads or mop up the occassional verbal diarrhea?

Maybe having to submit written analyses of every Lost Experience post?

Or a penance the nuns often used - 10 Hail Marys and 5 Our Fathers said while kneeling on uncooked rice?

Whatcha' think?
