lifeNBC has initially picked up 13 episodes of a new drama about a detective who is given a second chance. The said pilot is entitled Life, which will be taking up the Wednesday niche at 10/9c as part of the network’s fall lineup.

Life follows the life of detective Charlie Crews as he returns to the force after spending years in prison for a crime he did not commit. Now, he returns and struggles in a world that has moved on without him, while brining in a new found philosophy.

Love Damian Lewis. Genius actor! Glad to see Adam Arkin as well, he always does humour so well. The previews are great on the NBC "Life" site. Can't wait!

Sarah Shahi's credits also include The L Word, and she's sorely missed.

The show is a trip. Damien Lewis is like Vince D'Onofrio and it's funny how much of thier previous roles as "aliens" stay with them. Quirky, threatening and angular he's very cool. I hope they get a chance to develop his character. Damien, you're excellent.
