'Journeyman' Creator Sheds Light on Cancellation Rumors - Page 2

Are you kidding? Stuck with it for three weeks?? No explanations?
So are you a fan of shows like Lost? Its been what, three seasons and most people still don't know what the hell's going on.. but they keep watching. An intelligent show is one that leaves a bit of mystery to it, and doesn't "dumb it down" to appease people with short attention spans. This show is not the greatest show ever, but it certainly beats that really unwatchable show "Pushing Daisies", which for some unknown reason seems o be doing better than "Journeyman". It has potential, and doesn't insult the audiences intelligence. Hopefully NBC will give it the chance it deserves..

this show is absolutely amazing. i check daily hoping for some or any news that could be promising to the show continuing. i did run into one petition people were signing to let NBC know what we think, since obviously in this strike situation everything is shaky. though i do agree, Sci-fI channel should think long and hard about this is NBC drops the ball. i mean c'mon, USA is makin new Law and Orders, god knows there isnt enough of those type shows around. keep a critically acclaimed and loved show on the air. probably help sci-fi overcome thier "top show" PRO WRESTLING. anyway here is the petition i keep passin around,

Awesome show. The only night I stay up for. NBC would be stupid to cancel.

Love this new show. Very entertaining. Superb acting. If you are watching Heroes now, watch this show. This is way better.

I'm really curious (not trying to start a fight here), what is it about this show that people really like? I also gave up after three weeks, and none of the previews have interested me into watching again. I love Kevin McKidd, and I think the premise has a lot of promise, but I found the characters dull and irritating. I also didn't see them deal with the most interesting question (to me, anyways), which is how does he justify playing god with other peoples lives? I really want to like the show, but I've seen no evidence to give it another hour of my time. Can anyone help me out?

Well, first off I think people may like different things about the show. Interests in Time-Travel, righting past wrongs, the fantasy of the "do - over". These speak to certain people as does the relationships between the characters. I'm more about the characters. I find they are multi-dimensional, and like most people will say they hate Jack, or Livia, to me thats just good acting as thats what you are supposed to feel about them. Jack is irritating, but as in last nights episode, has finally come around but i'm sure it's still going to be hard for him. livia is mysterious, her knowledge (or lack of) is key to some of the frustrations felt by Dan, and in turn his family.

Dan is the everyman, he's not a scientist, or a spiritual person. Just a regular guy that is involved in some extraordinary events. This is clearly a strain on him as well as his family, and thats a good thing. It's good because I would imagine that if this was real, they would be facing these issues and struggling

He wasn't given a choice to intervene in the lives of others - he was thrown into their timeline to correct / save them. It's not like he just decided to do it. So I don't think he's "Playing God" - he's just doing what he seems to be being directed to do by whatever power is sending him there.

If you don't like it, you don't like it. Maybe it's just not your kind of thing. That's cool. But from what I've seen / heard. You are definitely in the minority out of anyone who has given the show half a chance.

He and his family struggle with what all this means for them and his love for them is what makes the show work. i know my fiance loves the relationship between Dan and his wife and son, and that is what draws her to the show. We care about these characters, and in the end, isn't that what good storytelling is supposed to do?

I love this show. NBC Please keep this. Its one of my favorite new shows of the fall. They should cancel BIONIC WOMAN.
