Those who have stuck with the character rich science fiction of Journeyman know that the show is a rare commodity, despite its slipping ratings. Its paradoxical place in the television universe as an expertly crafted character piece nuanced by the clichés of time travel pulp science fiction make Journeyman as far from a ‘niche' show as one could possibly get. Journeyman is, in fact, more for those expecting multiple layers of pomp and circumstance seasoned with a touch of the bizarre. None the less, the show does have a chance, and with the peek into the mythological aspects of its story last week, and the fortuitous order of three more scripts from NBC, the layout of the coming weeks could either make or break Dan Vassar's chance at securing a back nine.click here to read the rest of the article: http://www.buddytv.com/articles/journeyman/saving-journeyman-can-it-hang-12797.aspx

I like the show very much and finally someone saw Dan vanish! I just wish his hothead brother would get to witness one of his departures so he'll leave him alone. It's a good show. Maybe unveiling more about why this is happening to him and what is behind it would make it more solid to viewers who are unsure.

I already started another thread about some of the new developments so I won't rehash it here but the story is definitely getting interesting and I would like to know more about the professor and some of the other characters.

I think it's well written and doesn't exactly copycat the other time-travel shows I've seen - If I see one more comparison to Quantum Leap I think I'll strangle the author of whoever says it. This show is NOTHING like Quantum Leap other than the time travel aspect - if you bother to watch more than 5 minutes of it. Much more in the Butterfly Effect realm if anything. (Sorry to those who've read my previous posts to this effect)

I really am enjoying Journeyman. It is getting really interesting and involved and is going in an altogether different direction than either Quantum Leap or Sliders. Excellent! Plus I am a big fan of Kevin McKidd. I hope the show gets another season. The writers have an excellent opportunity to create some new and fresh viewing. Aggripanilla

I would watch Kevin McKidd read the phone book for 2 hours but they've managed to squash all the life out of his incredible talent and charisma in this show. I like the premise in that the show is really about what his traveling does to the people around him, but I can't stand any of the people around him. Every week I wish they'd disappear because they're all so naggy and whining and self-serving. His son is the only one who seems to show any maturity at all. Unless something happens, I'd rather see McKidd released from this yawn of a series and sent along to something that better serves his abilities. You can't keep viewers when everything is increasingly beige.

I've been enjoying the show and I think it would be a shame for them to cancel it. If they aren't happy with the ratings, don't put it against a show like CSI. If they were to cancel it, I hope a channel like Sci Fi would be smart enough to pick it up.

I agree that some of the side characters are a little annoying - but I definitely wouldn't end the show just for that - overall it's a great show and entertaining and even a little intelligent (but intelligence doesn't sell I guess).
