| Ratkeeper attended Richard Speight Jr's benefit in the San Francisco Bay area yesterday. She had a chance to speak with him and he stated that there is still a chance the movie will be made. The fact that the cast still has this on their radar screen is very encouraging news. That is why we need to really get out in front on the comic book and make sure we do everything we can to sell as many units as possible. As I have stated since last year this is about the numbers, ratings and dollars. Keep the Faith RS The movie shown at the benefit was North Beach: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0226225/ North Beach was made by Richard and his college friends, in fact Richard's wife, Jaci Hays, is in the movie. Every few years, Richard and his friends have a reunion and show the movie. After the movie, everyone went outside and Richard moved from group to group talking to everyone. He had seen our tee-shirts, so when he came to our group he greet us as " real live Jericho fans". He asked our names and where we were from. We replied East Bay and then Richard apologized for the East Bay jokes in the movie. He invited us to join the group at the bar on the corner and signed the items we had brought with us. We were able to ask him about the Jericho movie, and he told us the cast has heard the same rumors. He said there is some interest, but nothing official yet. He said that he thinks the odds the movie will get made are about 50-50 right now. Although there were only three Jericho fans in our group, we did outnumber the one Supernatural fan that showed up. Richard actually apologized to all of us for the short notice and promised to give us more notice next time. Please watch the season two finale tonight and send your feedback with renewed hope, since we still have a chance to see more Jericho. Gwen |
