CBS Wiki-Wet Paint and Phoenix Update

Hello Fellow Rangers



We have reached the end of the line for Jericho on the CW as Season 2, episode 7, Patriots and Tyrants is set to be shown.



I was contacted by Patty Lindley, Director of Publishing at Wetpaint. They worked with CBS to develop the Jericho WIKI. Her PR person Erika followed up with me this week. They would like to bring some media attention to the Jericho Fan Community.



I had given them the basic background including Schumi, Clark and Shaun and all the folks on the first Nuts Campaign, those who worked on the second camping including those who put up the Billboard, put the article sin the trade publications and those who worked on the tv commercial. I let her know about Radio Free Jericho, JKI, The Guardians, JNET, IMDB, the UHD Board, Jericho Junction and the other various groups and individuals who make up the Jericho Community and that they are still here hoping to see the movie get launched. I very glad that Maybei, Schumi and some of the other Leaders out there have joined the yahoo information group network. This fight will take all of us if we are going to succeed. We need to work together, eeveryone of us still online are here for a reason, to see our show come back in some form.



They would be interested to give us some media exposure and help with the comic book. We are planning to get a list of all comic book distributors so we can let people know where to go to pre-register and also will be buying comic books and sending them to the troops as we did with the DVD's last year.



I think this is significant and may be tied in with Epix being launched in October and the Comic Book coming out in October. Some have theorized that some filming may have occurred already and that there is a tie into Epix and the comic book as well. Possibly shooting something to bring around to the different productions companies as video outline of the film. We shall see on that front.



We will be putting together an East Coast gathering in Baltimore, tentatively scheduled for weekend of July 31 or August 6th. Hope a lot of Rangers can make the get together.



Denny Wilson, Norsu and Ichtus have made some great observations regarding the comic book and we will need to make sure we do our part to help promote and sell the comic book. Scoobud and General Patton made a good suggestion that we try to work the comic book sales as we did with the DVD's for the troops, help or troops oversees and also help with sales of comic books.



One thing I take from the stories associated with the Fans of Chuck whose campaign this year to buy Subway sandwiches and involve subway was key. We are looking to reach out to Devils Due Publishing to see if they will work with us on the Comic Book for the Troops.
