Jericho Producer Says Give Peace a Chance

It's easy to assume the producers of Jericho are just playing on our fears right? With everything the USA has been through, there is something morbidly fascinating about watching characters struggle through the worst-case-scenario. In a recent Reuters interview, Jericho creator Jon Turteltaub confessed, though, that there was a little more being the decision to move forward with the show.

"If people had no fear of nuclear bombs, then this show would kind of suck," he says. "But if America was in a panic over nuclear bombs, we probably couldn't make the show."

The premise is great. However, the story unfolded, it became clear the writers had no intentions of recognizing a realistic apocolypse. There are numerous inconsistancies regarding gas, food, shelter, electricity, etc..etc..but the flaw that made me stop watching this program was the character "Hawkins" & everything that surrounds him. He apparently isnt subject to the entire towns plight. He drives a big old Cadillac wherever, yet never needs gas. Food, shelter, & electrcity for his numerous gadgets is endless. His story is more about the love of his family & the top secret FBI operation he is involved in. Another network farce, where a black man overachieves at everything & anything he does. He is incredibly intelligent, strong, caring, & clever. He is righteous & deeply moral while he saves the world. Like all Black movie/TV actors he is the EXACT opposite of real life black men, he is the blessed savior to white people everywhere. This is brainwashing propaganda.
