Is Jericho necessary? This question may be trite (Is any show truly necessary? I mean, besides "Flavor of Love"), but Jericho really does seem needless. The pilot was good, so I'm not saying I didn't like it. It's just that I wonder if viewers want something this depressing. Jericho is an end-of-the-world scenario type of show, taking place in a small Kansas town during a wide range nuclear attack on America. By the end of the pilot, we know that Denver and Atlanta have been hit, but it's safe to assume a number of other big cities have been also. A point in Jericho's favor is that it skirts any political issues; we have no idea who attacked and there is no uber-patriotic rah-rah America stuff. Jericho could have easily gone down that path (and maybe it eventually will). To read the rest, click here.

I like the show. The subject of nukes is something my generation had to live with for many years. I'm amazed we are still here actually! It might be a touch morbid but I have always found the subject interesting.

I watched the premiere of Jericho, and although I enjoyed it, I couldnt really see where it was going either. Despite that, I'm going to be continuing to watch it.

The premise is great. However, the story unfolded, it became clear the writers had no intentions of recognizing a realistic apocolypse. There are numerous inconsistancies regarding gas, food, shelter, electricity, etc..etc..but the flaw that made me stop watching this program was the character "Hawkins" & everything that surrounds him. He apparently isnt subject to the entire towns plight. He drives a big old Cadillac wherever, yet never needs gas. Food, shelter, & electrcity for his numerous gadgets is endless. His story is more about the love of his family & the top secret FBI operation he is involved in. Another network farce, where a black man overachieves at everything & anything he does. He is incredibly intelligent, strong, caring, & clever. He is righteous & deeply moral while he saves the world. Like all Black movie/TV actors he is the EXACT opposite of real life black men, he is the blessed savior to white people everywhere. This is brainwashing propaganda.
