"Carol Barbee"Jericho has wrapped up filming of it's “experimental” seven-episode second season and depending on how this year's crop of fall debuting shows performs, the flailing series may either return as early as next month or as late as January next year.  If anyone of CBS' first year programs this year, namely, Cane, Moonlight, Kid Nation and Viva Laughlin get prematurely yanked off the air due to poor showing, an hour-long time slot could suddenly pave the way for an early Jericho return.

For Jericho executives, the time consideration is becoming an increasingly urgent concern, as Jericho needs as much momentum as it can muster going into its dry-run season.  The fate of the series rests heavily on viewer support, with CBS possibly quick on the draw to give the show ultimate finality should it fail to rack up sufficient numbers.

It's going to be amazing. Let's hope something (other than Moonlight) gets canned soon.

It has been proven that Jericho is a show worth saving. Even new fans to the show are making comments about how could they have missed it from the beginning and have been catching up on the series via DVD or the website. Bring it on, we are dying for our Jericho fix.

Go Jericho! My prediction is that Kid Nation gets yanked, at which point I timeshift Pushing Daisies to watch Jericho live. -sa@bonasi.com

I heard that the Jericho DVD wasn't selling well at all, so why bring back the show? Strange.

she said that 22 episodes had been compressed into 7 so that means that jericho might lose it's cinematic pace, no thanks to F****** nina tassler she outta get rid of kid nation and bring back a show worth watching if the network had been decent it would have given jericho a 13 episode season that way they would have had enough time to let it unfold in a cinematic way
shows like "LOST" and "jericho" have to have a cinematic feel in order to tell their story
both shows feel like a movie and I hope Jericho still feels like a movie during season 2.

there are so many crap shows out there it's amazing that a quality show with a dedicated fan base has to be on the cutting block like this. i blame cbs... "america's most watched network" my ... well you get the picture. i think fox or nbc might have room in their line-up. if cbs doesn't want it, good riddance. i haven't watched them since touched by an angel, which coincidentally had a spin-off called promised land starring none other than mayor johnston. so, in summary, if the show doesn't make it on this unworthy network, just release it to dvd. that's how i'll be watching it anyway, this would just put it in my hands sooner.
