Gaps between posts

I'm not sure, but I'm finding these past few days without a new Rachel Blake post a strange move. The character was on the verge on discovering something major and ended up asking us and GidgetGirl for help. It would be in character if she did something unexpected like boarding one of the boats.

I know it probably isn't important, but what do you think's happening?

She posted yesterday... I know it feels like an eternity but it was only yesterday.

I think you've got something there, River.

She acts before she thinks. She's nothing if not reckless and resourseful.

Due to the recent insurgency (led by matt_the_pale and others) on Rachel's blog comments, it is possible she has lost faith in those following her efforts.

I hope the actions of a short-sighted few haven't ruined this.

What "insurgency"? I just asked Rachel to explain why she changed the newspaper that she'd posted. Is that wrong? Should I not question why people do the things that they do? Should we just shut up and listen instead of asking questions? Rachel had a different version of the newspaper article than we originally did, and I decided to ask her why she put it up. When she took it down and replaced it, I asked her why she did that. Don't you think we need an answer as to why Rachel did that?

How exactly am I being "short-sighted"? For staying in character?

If you are on Rachel's side, then BE ON HER SIDE... but I don't really think you are. You're either out to make a name for yourself, or intentionally trying to discredit or embarass Rachel.

As far as the picture, I never saw any different version. You may be teling the truth, but if Rachel changed it, I trust she did it for good reason. In fact, I trust Rachel before I'd take your word that the picture was ever different.

Stop harassing her, maybe even apologize. Like I said, she may be nervous about posting new information because of how you guys are acting. She's posted nothing today, and I have to think your recent campaign is responsible.

When such things happen, I question why. If you are one of those amazingly uncurious persons who simply accept everything as it happens, then good for you. I feel the need to question why things happen as they do. Perhaps it is because I have a basic level of curiosity, something no one should ever apologize for having.

That could explain why there was no update today... they don't usually have much going on over the weekend so maybe she'll be at her "destination" on monday.

I don't know how she'd get in contact with us though. *shrugs*

that could be so, but I think friday's have normally been really booming with updates...kinda to tide us over for the weekend, being saturday and sunday. I think it's very weird not to have something on Friday.
