| Late last month, three doctors were finally chosen to be part of House's new medical team, and one of them was Dr. Lawrence Kutner, played by Kal Penn. Kutner, who, along with fellow doctors 13 (Olivia Wilde) and Taub (Peter Jacobsen), beat out 37 other candidates competing for the spots on the exclusive team, specializes in sports and rehabilitative medicine. He is also a risk taker, a quality that he shares with his new boss. While being on House has given Penn the opportunity to play a dynamic television character who has a “kind of fascination that a 10th grader would have in his science class,” it has also given him the chance to star alongside esteemed British actor, Hugh Laurie. | I'd just like to point out, after seeing a trivia question off to the side... Hugh's band is not called "TVBand" but Band from TV. That's the web address too. |

| Let us not forget Kal Penn's excellent performance as Gogol/Nikhil in Mira Nair's film "The Namesake"!! Though he was in many ways overshadowed by the talents of Irfan Khan and Tabu as his parents, it was a great step for Penn to undertake this role. |
