The Actual Episode vs. Downloaded Episode

The episode on iTunes is what will actually be shown on television vs. the one we all downloaded, which was the screener version. Here were all the differences based on the iTunes one (the one they will air):

These are just the changed scenes, you'll only know what I'm talking about if you already saw the downloaded version...hope this makes sense, just typing from what I remember watching the iTunes one.

- Beginning: Peter doesn't completely jump, he falls and then it shows some flying scenes.
- They show more of Niki filming in front of the camera, different positions.
- When Niki looks for Micah in the house, it shows her coming into the house through a door, showing that where she is filming is in another room outside the house.
- The scene where Peter falls and Nathan is at the bottom and looks up is now in the part where he is dreaming in the cab and wakes up seeing Nathan's face on the bus.
- When Mohinder goes back to his father's apartment in current day, he replaces things on the wall that he removed from before. It also shows connections from the different cities.
- Hiro's friend is a subscriber to Niki's online webcam, but instead of showing the chat on his computer, they show the live feed of her video on his computer.
- Isaac show's Simone the paintings, but not the one of her standing at the door...they mixed that scene up a little.
- When Isaac tells Simone to leave, he sees news on the television about the fire in Odessa and it shows a painting of it right next to the tv.
- There's no scene of Micah calling the train station and/or leaving.
- At the subway station, Hiro and his friend talk a little more.
- When Niki wakes up in the room with the two dead guys, Micah calls instead of her friend saying Mom when are you coming to pick me up.
- Simone calls Peter in the cab asking him to hurry to her father's house.
- When Simone and Peter go to Isaac's place, they don't show his hand being cut off anymore. Also, they added Simone saying "he's overdosed"
- The ending scene: When Nathan catches Peter, it shows him actually flying and a longer clip of Peter trying to hold on, then he actually falls.

Some things that seem new in the iTunes version may just be things I didn't pick up on but were in the leaked pilot, too. But here's a few things I noticed.

First off, travis, I thought the leaked pilot showed that Niki was filming in another building, so I don't think that changed. And I thought that when Peter was waking up after Nathan was smiling and saw Nathan's ad on the bus hadn't changed also.

In the leaked pilot, Claire sees the truck with the guys dressed in suits under the tarp in the bed of the truck drive one way as the fire truck drives the other. That wasn't shown in the iTunes version.

I don't remember Mohinder reading about the 15 years of radiation poisoning exposure for some subject or marking Cuidad Juarez, San Diego, New York, and Japan with thumbtacks, or finding a tape on the floor with the name "Sylar" on it in the leaked pilot, either.

I heard Nathan Petrelli's name on a tv show when Isaac is first shown. The screen has the word "SOLDIER" with a pic of Nathan. Isaac isn't cuffed this time before Simone leaves. Also, is this a pic of Claire or Niki or someone else in the story?

I noticed that "Linderman" was the guy that Niki owed money to and who Nathan was talking on the phone with the first time we saw him using the phone, but I think that was in the leaked pilot also.

is that picture a screenshot from the itunes? i can't tell..what's the yellow stuff in the way haha

To me it looks like a woman with long hair wearing a fur coat. Why the fur coat is that particular color I have no idea. I too wonder about the yellow stuff in the way. Neither Niki nor Claire have hair that long, right? Neither of them probably have that sort of money too. My guess would be it isn't a drawing of Claire or Niki, but I have been wrong before.

I think that the producers/writers wanted show a connection between

but took the the truck full of terrorists driving away from the train crash so we wouldn't automatically link the terrorists to the nuclear explosion shown in painting Issac had on the floor of his apartment. Since they mentioned in the one of the news cast that the train was nuclear regulatory commission property or something to that affect, I don't remember the exact phrasing.

Here's a sequence of scenes at the end of the iTunes pilot, which shows the difference mentioned by travis when compared to the leaked pilot. I still think it could be a dream, though... For any future appearances by the dreamer, you necessarily have to think that

Peter will be okay (like he'll do some levitating at least before meeting the pavement) and not get drastically hurt...

The eclipse song is different too.

One more thing tho....you mentioned the "real" version and the aired version......technically the aired version is the "real" one....the leaked on is whats called a screener copy....used to evaluate what if anything will be changed or cut before it airs.......that version was never meant to be seen by the public....so its not the real version.

So, any changes don't really count. The screener is cool for posterity...but thats it.

Now, cutting out Claire grinding her hand off cuz some company got offended is ridiculous!
