Hmm I stand corrected. But I still think he had absorbed flight from adistance. why else would he be confident to pass over the fire and into danger unless he felt he had absorbed flight and had a getaway plan? theres no reason for him to assume his power would be remotely the same the second time around.

But watching the show and learning eveything from the company, pine hearst and mohinda. you are fully aware that everyone has an ability in their genes, the only difference between normal people with no powers and sylar and peter petrelli is that their ability has become active, knowing this you would be aware that your ability would be the same the second time you activate it. However Peter didn't have this knowledge.

hey dont get me wrong, i wanted to believe everyone has their unique ability, i wanted Peter to get his previous empathy power back, but from what i seen on the plane, the writers wanted to show us a different power, we saw peter losing strength on that plane, and judging from his will to not let go, i assume he lost his flight,
This was probably a good and bad idea considering he would have absorbed everyones power on that plane and God knows what would have happend.
My prediction is:
He will learn to Permanently take others powers(Like Arthur), saving people from Nathan's scheme,
He will Nuetralise Sylar taking all of his powers,
Nathan will go against what HE believes in to save Peter from death.

I hate the idea of peter with a temporary power taker

he is like a rock of good. the most powerful good guy on the show
just like sylar most powerful bad guy on the show
if peter loses his ability his storyline will be boring. if he touches them keeps there ability and they keep there's i can live with that

Who says it's temporary? that implies it expires after a certain amount of time. The evidence suggests it only expires when he absorbs a new power. He could keep a power as long as he wanted it seems .This would still make him the most powerful good guy, because he can pick and choose what ability he wants depending on the situation.. with a lot of goodguy friends one day he can have super strength the next he can be a time traveller, makes him much more powerful than anyone who has a single fixed ability... And the most powerful bad guy is supposed to be more powerful in my opinion. It makes the story more interesting.

Maybe Peters Power Is Different From Before, And He Was Still In The Room With The Firestarter And Nathen So He Must Have Both Abilities But We Dont She Him Use Them, If U Remember Back In Season One, Peter Meets That Gil Who Was Working For The Company Who Mohinder Liked With The Power To Make People Do Anything So Why Does Did He Not Have That One, He Needs How To Use It. And Maybe This Is The Reason Of This Whole Theory. Peter Needs To Get His Juice Bck To Beable To Do Wat He Used To Do. Or His Powers Are Now Different, And He Will Explian It In The Next Episode.

Also To Anwser The Theory About Him Not Just Flying, This Cud Because As He Might Still Have His Flying Ability And Has Not Meet Claire After The Injection He Has No Healing And So If He Was Sucked Out He Wud Be Sucked In To The Perpellers. So He Wud Die. These A Reason.
