I think things get so bad in volume 3 that even Sylar looks like a 'good guy' compared to the villains which are to come, so an unholy alliance is formed between Sylar and our 'good guys' so they can defeat the ultimate evil!

Do we know this for sure? Have we seen his severed head in a box? No? And does that really even matter...because even severed heads can reattach themselves in Prison Break.
