The reason why Hiro couldn't use his powers back when he needed the Kensei sword.

He had the Shanti virus.

I realized this after I read somebody's theory on how the Symbol cures the virus.

The Haitian got the virus after giving his necklace to Peter. The Kensei sword has the symbol and it cured the virus - or at least for the mean time.

I'm pretty sure this has already been discussed but I haven't found any theories about Hiro having the virus. Thoughts?

Theonly reason I think he lost his powers was because he was under emotional stress over Charlie. I really don't think it was because he had the Shanti virus. Anyone agree?

Personally I'd like it better if it was just emotional stress....
The idea that the helix heals is a little much.... Why would they have Mohinders blood be so important if one infected person just just put on a necklace and be cured....

the symbol therie is dumb. yes it dose appear on the special people like jessica when she's in charge of the two and when peter's tatoo went away it's just to show that there dna is different than normal people but emotional distress sound's like it fit's in fine like if your scared sometimes you cant do things like lock the door even though you want to you cant because of the window right next to the door some one could get you so you sit at the other end of the room until someone saves you
