Heroes: Episode 2.11 "Powerless" Recap

Last week Heroes promised two would fall and one villain would rise. On that count, they delivered in full. Bad as most of this season was, the finale delivers in a way far more satisfying than last season's let-down, perhaps because expectations weren't as high.

This episode of Heroes begins in Mohinder's apartment as he comes home to see Sylar (Zachary Quinto) and Maya (Dania Ramirez). They have a pleasant chat about what they want (the cure for the Shanti Virus), and Maya lets it slip that Sylar is powerless. However, Sylar still has a gun, so he forces Mohinder (Sendhil Ramamurthy) to help him.

HRG KILLED NATHAN!!! Watch scene again its Noah walking away in his biz suit like he always wears. but what was mama pettrilli talking bout? Her? or Peter?? I'm starting to think mama runs the company, not bob. hmmm

I'm really not sure about Volume 3. To be honest, it was just a clip of Sylar becoming normal again. Which I think we all expected to happen, for the most part. It wasn't a "Omg what does this mean?!" moment like Hiro going back in time was.

ha, i thought it was great how at the end sylar happened to telepathically grab a can of spinach - like popeye getting his strength...

Ooh, great observations from everyone, with HRG and the spinach. I'm going back to rewatch, but I knew I could count on you guys to help me find things I may have missed! The Popeye thing is hilarious.

B for volume 2 of Heroes. What about Caitlin? They never explained what becomes of her. Why would HRG kill Nathan if it is HRG who did it? Im sad Niki is gone. Micah lost both his parents. That is rather harsh. I'm sure we will see Adam in volume 3. Cool title 2 "Villians". May we expect many baddies. I hope so. We need a couple of baddies, im over Sylar, he should have died this season. I actually grew to like Maya. Maybe its her power. She gets points for spilling the beans on Sylar. I hope eventually Maya is able to control her powers more by infecting just one person and not the whole block. Bring her back next season to kill Sylar. He deserves it. anywhose hope Volume 3 will be good. I am expecting the best for Volume 3.

Unanswered questions for Volume 2: "What of Caitlin?" Who shot Nathan? Mama Petrelli's power? any theories anyone?

Ugh. I'm okay with never having to see Caitlin again. Ha ha.Interesting plot developments though. Adam and Sylar will probably figure prominently into the third volume being the villains and all. I like the way their stories were left somewhat open -- with Adam buried and Sylar in some random alley shooting up Claire blood.That Mama Petrelli is such a shady person though. Uhh. I want to know what her agenda is. I mean, telling Matt to kill Peter if necessary and then knowing who shot Nathan (at least it seemed like whoever she was on the phone with was the shooter). Great mom, huh?

Ugh more Sylar, if they can move him away from being the super powered serial killer, otherwise more a retread of season one....

I thought this episode was major lame-o and rediculously implausible. I seem to remember this show being a little impluasible, but not over the top. Last night's was over the top. So every SECRET camera has an obvious blinking red light right? Why didn't freakin Peter ever try to at least read Kensai's mind to see if he was telling the truth?! Niki lifting the beam in the fire was absurd. Why not just climb over it/around it?! It didn't appear as that would be very hard to do? Among his other powers Peter seems to be uber-fast too as he reached the vault in what must have been like 1.2 seconds and immediately noticed a small vial falling to the floor. Overall I'm just glad this Volume is over. Hopefully V.3 gets back to V.1 quality.
