The regen power isn't in Peter's DNA. He can just "access" it using his own power (which is in his DNA).

this whole blood thing is getting confusing......first thing is would the injected blood even disapear?? surely it would stay in your veins, well at least until the blood cells die, which i dnt know how long that takes, also what about blood types, surely not every1 can be cured because the blood would be rejected like blood doning, u need the right blood type to accept the blood....whats every1 views?

Yes he can. Peter can regenerate just like Claire and Adam, so he has their healing blood inside him.

Interesting question i think his blood would have been normal until he learnt how to heal. His blood has now adapted to heal it self but because it is a copied power would not be as effective. So what i'm saying is that if donated may only heal wounds partly and not fully. But then after watching him open the vault door i guess anything is possible.

Who here thinks the blood healing and resurrecting people is dumb? Technically, no character is killed off the show, if this is the case, including Nathan.

I think the power is in the DNA. Now if his blood would heal someone his DNA would be changed. His DNA being changed would have effects that could go any different direction. Now, if Sylar gets powers by learning how they work, he'd have to change His DNA as well....which is a long shot.

i dont think its the DNA that matters, because if it was then no1 apart from the ppl with the healing power could be healed, thus it is the blood its self tht can heal and there should be no difference in the blood between adam claire and peter so the effects their blood produce should all be the same...

well...the helix appears to be part of a DNA strand, that was one of the reasons i thought that. Mohinder and his father both said it was in the DNA was the other reason. If the power was in the blood, Peter could give lightning, invisibility, atomic energy, and many other powers away just by trying to heal Nathan.
