Default Why Peter's hand turns black

The reason that Peter's hand turns black is because before his healing ability has time to heal him, he is burned by the nuclear power. An example is when he goes to Montreal to figure out who he is, he uses his power and in the mirror you see the same thing. It bruns first, then heals. Beacause the power isn't origianlly his, his body isn't immune to it, he can only use it bc whatever damage it does unnaturally, it is healed by the power he got from Claire.

Default Helix

I assumed that part, but it still doesn't explain the faint helix that appeared in his hand. Why would the godsend symbol be in his hand after he nuked the virus? Someone else mentioned they thought the virus got released but I don't think that happened, a nuclear reaction will pretty much destroy anything in contact with it except of course a regenerating person
