Helix in Peter's Hand

Did anyone else notice that when Peter nuked the virus his hand turned black then the helix symbol appeared. Any ideas on what the meaning of that was?

The reason that Peter's hand turns black is because before his healing ability has time to heal him, he is burned by the nuclear power. An example is when he goes to Montreal to figure out who he is, he uses his power and in the mirror you see the same thing. It bruns first, then heals. Beacause the power isn't origianlly his, his body isn't immune to it, he can only use it bc whatever damage it does unnaturally, it is healed by the power he got from Claire.
