what if he died ? I'm sure we all wished him dead one time or another but what if someone actually killed him ? Sylar is Peter's nemesis, they both can assimilate new powers the difference beeing in the method of acquiring that said power. If Sylar ever died, I don't think Peter would be as important as he is now because he's the only one who can face him.

Peter is not the only one that can face him. Hero can freeze time which Sylar is not able to do. The only reason that Peter does not freeze with hero is because he has the power and is immune to it. so if sylar is frozen hero can simply go and cut his brain out.

I think that Sylar is actually EXACTLY like Peter, only he doesn't realize it yet. He thinks he has to cut the people's heads open in order to gain their abilities, but I don't think he actually has to do that.

i think sylar has to study their brain in order to learn their power. didn't sylar say before that his only power was understanding what makes things tick or something like that?

He understands how things work, hence why he was a watchmaker. He needs to study their brain, to understand how their power works | |

This is where i don't understand because if he only needs to study the brain doesn't it have to be alive ? I mean if he kills them before looking at the brain how can he see how the brain works to use the power ?
