| In most cases, intriguing hints about upcoming television plotlines come to us courtesy of the actors. Writers for the biggest hits on the tube are usually evasive and secretive about upcoming events, while the actors have a tendency to be loose-lipped and possibly spill more than they should. Such was the case when Heroes actor Adrian Pasdar recently made an appearance at MegaCon in Orlando, Florida. We haven't heard much from series creator Tim Kring regarding season 3, but Pasdar dropped a bombshell about what the next year holds for his character.WARNING: This article contains possible spoilers about next season of Heroes. | "Setting that date of June 14, 2008 may have been a bit premature if the writers' strike sticks and that story isn't actually told until next fall." <-- Heh. That's true. Then again, Lost has spent three seasons telling a story where the main part of the action - what happens on the Island - is taking place in the winter of 2004, but they haven't lost any tension. Even with Heroes, the first season took place in the fall of 2006, even though the end of the season didn't end until the spring of 2007. Similarly, this season has so far been taking place in the spring of 2007, despite airing in the fall of 2007! |

Fair points. I always get annoyed when shows play with the timelines like that. Lost isn't so bad because it's so self-contained, and I suppose Heroes is OK a little because they do that a bit too, but it's quite obvious they only put that date in there expecting it to be wrapped by the end of the spring season.

Do you really think they care about the fans? It's all about making money, releasing things as fast as they can to ride the success of the last season while sacrificing the story like LOST did with season 2 I say take more time, get it right, have the strike as a brake, go back explore the story for what made season 1 so good. no need to dump the story into 30mins of a make-up season finally. I don't think the strike will last that long it's Hollywood. AS A FAN I WOULD RATHER SEE A BETTER STORY LATER THE A PILE OF POO NOW

THEY CAN'T END IT IN DECEMBER!!! This would KILL the show!!! Many fans are disappointed so far with this season due to its slow start, but it looks like it's finally gonna start picking up and I'm sure they would be back to loving it by the end of a full season. If they end it in December, fans will not have enough time to get the same level of love and commitment they had for season 1, and only the super-intense fans (like me) would be interested in season 3. I'm so mad that a show with so much potential could just be so senselessly destoyed like this. There would be no way to repair the damage done to Heroes by giving it a half-length 2nd season. I guess this just goes to show that writers care more about themselves than their audience, who they SHOULD be writing for...

I don't think there's any ulterior motives here - if the writers strike happens, then Heroes will have a nice out. Simple as that.
