Heroes: Episode 2.4 "The Kindness of Strangers" Recap

Previously on Heroes: Peter and Hiro were still far away from the real action, the Honduran Wonder Twins got a third wheel, Claire made out with her flying stalker, Sylar killed Candice, Mohinder moved into Isaac's old loft and found a painting that showed HRG getting his face smashed in by his daughter, and Niki dropped Micah off with Uhura before making a deal with the Company.

Tonight's Heroes begins with HRG (Jack Coleman) is still fixated on the painting, and he also suspects Claire (Hayden Panettiere) of dating some boy. She denies it. Mohinder (Sendhil Ramamurthy) and Parkamn (Greg Grunberg) continue trying to parent Molly, who is still having nightmares of the Boogeyman. Bearded Nathan (Adrian Pasdar) promises his kids he's coming home.

Great episode. I hated on Heroes for not coming back strong but this is classic Heroes, the drama is beginning. I love Monica's power and her crachter in general. Look at the TV set and being able to replicate what you've seen. What is the name of this power..anyone?

Yea, Veronica Mars looks as sassy and witty as ever! Glad she still kept that. Not sure about Monica's power at all, and unfortunately Heroes has a way of not explaining certain powers...is the verdict in for Sylar's power yet??? I mean, I've only been waiting for probably a year now.... Anyways, I'm hoping the show will inform us on how Sylar arrived right in front of the twins' car... Also, does anyone think there's a bug connection? I remember that last year's finale showed a bug in the wake of Sylar's blood track when he was dragged(?) in the sewer. I was also really glad not to have to watch Hiro and Peter. Overall good episode.

2. Matt's dad is 'the Nightmare Man'
3. The Boogyman is Sylar
4. That roach is supposed to mean that it has evolved and is difficult to kill..per Tim Kring
5. Sylar said he'd been walking for 3 days (out of that forest) and lied about being robbed.

And his chest wound? He seemed to be in pretty bad shape just by bending over. Yet in the episode he seemed to deal with it relatively well. In fact it seemed as though he never even had one.

Is anyone getting deja vu here? The first several episodes of Lost 3 were very slow. It was mostly about the Others. We wanted to get back to the Losties on the main island and to the real story. With Heroes it is similar. Things are going slow and we are not getting to the main story as of yet. Are these shows "trying" to copy each other on purpose?

Do Niki and Paolo, I mean Maya and Alejandro, really have something to do with the show? Or were they thrown together with Sylar at the last minute just to make them a little bit relevant?
