Molly says to Matt in season 1 that the boggie man eats the brians and take thier powers? ![]() Wiki is always updating as the show progress and has changed thinks about hero's as new info comes to light. It was just a piss poor effort to kill off Candice's character for what ever reason. Seen it many times in many different shows Lost for example. But IMO Candice is dead she told Micha in season 1 that she was a huge person and that she was. ![]() Sylar: LIKES EM ROUND & BIG, AND WHEN HE HAS A HISSY FIT, HE'S ACTING LIKE A CANNIBAL NOW HERES HIS SCANDEL, HE'S GONNA GET MAYA HOME AND UH!! SLICE HER UP UH!! UH!!

Come on, what's the doubt with Sylar's powers? As Gabriel, when Mohinder's father meet him, he says he's good fixing clocks because he 'knows how things work'. But Suresh never realizes that's his power (as, apparently, a lot of the audience ) and so Gabriel starts studying the most complexe machine of all: the human body. Since the brain controls every single action of the body, Sylar simply needs to analyse it in order to see 'how an ability works'. Now, I suppose the brains would end up in a mess, as he would tear them appart, no? Wouldn't look nice on the tely.![]() Basically, he looks for the way a brain works and reproduces it. Simply because he as the ability to 'understand.' Or we can just assume he is a cannibal with a really cool digestion.. ![]()

The real mystery is how does he duplicate what he sees in other's powers with his own brain.

my guess is that sylars powers are not working because he somehow got infected with the virus. If he is cured his powers might return: the question is whether his initial ability was also cancelled by the virus: will he be able to use candice's power once he is cured?

I curiously more care if Sylar get his powers back including the transfiguration or not. what's his exactly next plan after they get to NY? Abduct Mohinder and find out the way of cure?

I think Sylar can't use his powers because of his near death experience, I believe they will come back alone with all the new abilities he has stolen, when he has fully recovered. Probably near the end of the season.

Lebreaud is right on this one I reckon, Sylar (as Gabirel) was the watchmaker wasn't he? He knew exactly what was wrong with Mohinder's watch the second he walked into his shop. The same with brains, he opens skulls, looks at the mechanics of them and then uses the same parts of his brain. This is also what he has done with cockroaches. Remember the whole deal with the voiceovers and that in seson one when they kept on about cockroaches being an evolutionary pinnacle and that in the event of an apocaplypse they would be the only survivors? Well I do, and I reckon he's done his little watchmaker trick on them. Come on, every time he has a near-death incident you see one scampering around. And you see, that's the problem. The Company knows that he's just going to keep on killing and taking powers and becoming more an' more powerful, thus threatening their power, so they need to stop him somehow. They can't kill him (he keeps ressurecting) and they can't keep him locked up (he escaped) so a smarter appraoch was called for. They got Candice to give him the illusion that he no longer has powers which means that he is effectively 'crippled' and they can just sit back and monitor his movements etc. To that end, her giving him the illusion that he'd killed her would also be necessary. End transmission.
