| if this whole thing is evolution, why did kensei have the power way back in those days? the so called evolutionary gene pool should not have been that advanced back then. right? i mean, theoretically speaking. |

| Junior Member | Well you gotta think...evolution started way back in like B.C. times...people evolved before 1600...or whenever Hiro's at right now...so it would make sense...

| It would make a bit more sense if he wasn't able to regrow bodyparts like Claire, then he would have been an older version of that line in evolution. We'll just have to wait and see wether he can do it or not. |

maybe he wouldnt have been able to regrow a toe like claire can do in the present day.. lol. also, i heard a theory about kensei being immortal? that maybe he killed hiro's dad. does that mean claire is immortal or something? | |

| so long as he doesn't reproduce it makes sense that he could have existed. and if he did his lineage could be what lead to the individuals that carry the super-genome. it sort of makes geographic sense, connecting the east and the west. i like it. |

| WOW. i didnt think of that --> how it could make sense geographically. but then again, if they were all related somehow, u still see some of them dying off, ie. hiro's dad, simoan's dad, etc., which evolutionary speaking doesnt make sense. i dunno, but good point! |

| Moderator ![]() ![]() | I see what you're saying, but evolution happens over millions of years so in the scheme of things, Kensei isn't that much younger than us. I'm guessing that our Heroes aren't the first generation, but perhaps the start of a trend towards more people with abilties being born. Thats just my take anyway. Maybe Kensei was the first to ever develope these kinds of powers. Who knows.

| speaking of simone... do you think isaac shot her before her ability could manifest? her father was one of the past generation heroes so she should have had something. maybe her power is convenient resurrection. maybe when a plot line starts to get a little stale, hey, guess who's back.. |
