Peter's memory loss

In heroes 2nd season Season Premiere. Peter was found to have lost his memory yet when he came in contact Syalr who had the stole the amazing memory ability so Peter would of absorbed it! So how could peter not remember who he was?!?!?!?!?!

I moved your post here and made it into a new thread because it didn't
really belong in a thread about the shows ratings.

If his mind has been wiped of it's memories then he has nothing
to remember.

Charlie's power will now only help him when he's
making new memories.

The Haitian has mind-sweeping abilities, he must have something to do with it. I dont think Peter can absorb abilities Sylar has stolen though ... or did he already accomplish that?

Yeah, Peter took Sylar's abilities. I'm not sure if he has them all but he
definitely has his TK, and maybe some more that I can't remember.

Wasn't the blue blast of energy a power that Sylar stole? Peter absorbed that too. And the memory loss thing probably has to do with the necklace.

The blue spark was Ted Sprague's EMP ability (I think), and seeing as Peter exploded I'm not surprised that he doesn't remember anything. I dont think the Haitian had anything to do with it because he was sick and couldn't use his abilities.

sylar's one GIFT is to be able to understand how things work. it's not telekenesis, etc. so peter is definitely able to absorb powers that sylar has stolen. and it makes sense b/c it doesn't matter where it came from, a biological power is a biological power, and he's gonna absorb it anyway. the crazy thing is, you can never tell who's normal and who's superhuman, so it can kinda get freaky on his side to find out that you have certain abilities at random moments.

it could be sprague's EMP blast, didnt think about that before, .. nice one!

An EMP doesn't generally affect anything beyond electronics; it's wouldn't blow a person back like that--if someone set one off in an empty field right near you, e.g., you wouldn't even notice. I'd say it's either a random power he got from sylar, or something he got in between when the nuclear blast went off and when he lost his memory.

yeah i reckon he must have picked it up during the four months between season 1 and 2.
I hope we learn a little bit about what some of the heroes have been doing in the past 4 months. Especially Peter and Nathan.
