Thumbs up

honestly, i think the one and only power that Sylar should want or needs is peters ability.... Yet at the homecoming dance... Both Sylar and peter fell to the ground...Sylar just walked away leaving peter on the ground.....why did he not want Peters abilities..Many people argue that it is because Sylar didn't know that Peter had those abilities....But i mean Sylars initial abi lity was to see how things work, or if they are "broken".....gets you thinking huh?

true but if u remember when he got the telekenesis power, he didn't know the guy had it until he showed him. then he realised the power and killed him. peter on the other hand did not use any powers at the time as he didn't know how to at the time

I think Peter and Sylar have the same or similair powers, they both can copy/take powers away Sylar just knows how to control them better than Peter does at the moment, example Peter is the good side and Sylar the bad side maybe they fight later on with all the powers they have.

Very good point, it will come down to "good vs. evil", as always..which will be Peter vs. Sylar. Peter's already got his abilities in him but doesn't know what they are or how to use them, while Sylar is stealing them from other people, already knowing what the ability is and using them to gain more power. This is why Sylar has more power and control, he knows exactly what power he's stealing and how to use it.

This is not in this topic, but I also noticed who the actor is that is playing Linderman...it's Donald Sutherland! They have some really big actors coming out in this show...it's getting to be GREAT!! Eric Roberts (Julia Roberts brother) now Donald Sutherland...WOW!!

Peter and Sylar are similar but not the same.
There is a slight difference, Sylar has to see the power in action to get "how it works". It is like he feels when the power current when it is on.
Peter doesn't need to see the power itself but to be near the person who has it.

Peter is in essence a power sponge. No action needed, just to be near the person.
Sylar is an analyst/mechanic expert who knows how it works just hearing/seeing its ticking. BUT HE HAS TO HEAR/SEE THE TICKING.

It seems at first sight almost the same, but as we can see Peter has much much more potentials.
In a confrontation, Peter can "get" all Sylar powers at once by being just in front of him. But Sylar will get each power one by one only when Peter make use of each one.

If we extrapolate Sylar's skills, since he is a power technician, so to speak, he will recognize the failures and weaknesses of all powers, and know when a power is not being used at its full potentials or unskillfully used. Or even if it is being used skillfully and in its full potentials, he will be able to recognize the fundamental flaws of those powers.
That mechanic view will be highly useful to him. He can be a "Power hacker", scanning for holes in their systems and taking advantage of that.

Peter could be the creative one, using the powers he acquired in very original ways combining it, whatever. Something really creative, using in ways it weren't intended to be used, confusing Sylar.

those are my weird theories...
see you people,

PS: (I should write screen plays for them...)
