Juat about Syler having the ability of super memory, I thought the memory thing was a side effect from charlies near anurism thing? Did Syler kill her....or was he just there checkin out Hiro when all of a sudden Charlies life clock expired and her anurism happened? Juts speculation.....

My take is that Sylar killed Charlie THINKING that she had super memory (she was making a lot of noise and showing off her 'power'), but acutally her memory was brought on by the anurism. I doubt Sylar has super memory.

The question is, how was Sylar drawn to that cafe in the first place? Does he sense powers, and sense Hiro in the cafe, but then once in there mistakenyl think it was Charlie he was drawn to - therefore killing her.

Sylar's original power was the instant understanding of how things worked. He fixed watches for a living. Why? Because he was a natural at it, he simply looked at them and he knew how they worked, knowing instantly how to fix them. And it wasn't just watches, it was anything. Then he found another gifted person like him. He understood, the power is in the person's head, the brain. If his power is the understanding of how things work just by looking at them, there you go, he looks at the brain, analyses it and learns knows how to use the power (to look at it, he needs to get it out first, right?). He doesn't eat it.

If i'm not mistaken, there was a whole episode where they explained all of this.

The only part i don't get is, if he learns how to use it, why can't he shut it down when it's not needed (super hearing and "head aches" part).

Oh on the contrary, when Sylar killed Mohinders father, Dr. Suresh, he took the list of people that he had compiled from the human genoproject. When Mohinder and Eden searched his apartment, Sylar had the exact same map that Dr. Suresh had in his apartment with all the yarn, showing all the heros. Sylar knows where they are, he teamed up with Mohinder in order to gain easy access to all these heroes.

If you remember the woman with the power talked about having headaches and how it bothered her but how she was able to control it...before she died you could hear the rap music from the ipod so obviously she could listen to normal noise levels without a problem, so I don't think that Sylar will be brought down by mere noise. It's all foreshadowing so that Suresh will be able to piece out who Sylar is... it's surprising that he doesn't have suspicions yet as paranoid as he's been before.

i think taking the superpower of "super-hearing" from that lady will be sylar's downfall. he was having too much trouble adjusting to the power and it was driving him nuts. when he took other people's power, he was able to adjust his life and control the power (i.e. taking Zane's power to have the ability to melt metal, but being able to control it so he doesn't melt everything in sight). however, the super-hearing was killing him and he's going crazy over everything that makes noise. I believe this somehow will greatly affect what happens to him in the future, will make him go mad and will eventually help kill him.

Also think how loud an exploding man will sound to him. ouch...[/b]

Yea i get ur point the Haitian could render his powers useless but.. WAIT :P... he already met the Haitian and flew off... So at least one of his powers dont work on peter.. perhapse the other won't eiter [/b]

Peter probably already has any power he wants. He does not need to absorb them. He just has not tried to use them all, and probably has no idea what all the powera are yet. I have a feeling his brother already knows this, and they have kept him from remembering all the stuff that he has possibly done as a kid.

two things.....one, he also met eden.....but she didnt use her power on him...will he be able to use it??? second, the Haitians powers will not work on Peter, because his power is to use others powers...one of the Haitians powers is to turn off powers.....so peter would autimatically use the off switch as soon as they are near each other....therefore cancelling out the haitian...and also cancel out his other power of memory loss.

But that would def mean that peter should be able to cancel out anyone elses power if he wants to. Whether or no Sylar can even do anything other than the powers we've seen is still yet to be known......maybe he wasnt able to get any of the other powers.

As far as Sylar losing it....yeah, I think that is very likely....he should now have telekenesis. super memory, metal melting (a pretty useless power....lol), and super hearing......thats gonna get messy!

Um just one correction, it's not the power to metal melting, it's the power of liquification, which means that if Sylar develops the power he'll be able to melt the bodies of the people he kills

well they havent shown him melt anything but metal yet....and when he was in the old womans garage he grabbed a jar full of nails and tools looking for something metal. and Zane's apt was covered in melted metal. course they could go the Xmen II route and say he can use the iron in your blood (that was freakin lame!)

Besides he does have Eden's power he used it on Issac
