Also, did it not seem like Sylar has absorbed the ability to talk to animals?[/b]

I think he is talking about when Sylar was talking to Mr Muggles.

I don't think he can talk to them... I think he was just talking to it, you know, the way you'd talk to your own dog.

Actually, I was thinking more along the lines of the obviously emphasized cockroach. It may also be a tag-along with his powers as seems evident with a few others. Peter absorbs powers, and seems to store them. Invisible man is also not heard by other people.

Sylar has the ability to see how things work, that and the cockroach, answers how he somehow faked his death. Sure we all sweet-talk our dogs, but roaches? Plus, it seemed like he got some information he couldnt have gotten elsewhere, that a dog may seem to have been able to answer if it could speak.

Sylar could have just absorbed the ability, we dont really know how many abilities Sylar has absorbed in the past, and I think the writers have intentionally left that open-ended. It could go either way, bit Im positive hes got a connection with animals.

Well, I agree that Linderman's evil, but I think you're oversizing Sylar's "purity". I think he's a little more than the average psycho. True, Linderman's probably the one guiding him, but Sylar could most definately do plenty of damage (maybe not to our Heroes, but to the common world itself) without having his hand held. Besides that, I agree with everything said ^_^

I dont mean that he's pure in any way. I think he was trying to just collect some powers and keep under the radar. If he went all out, trying to optimize his damage efficiency, he would be a much more formidable villain, but I still think he would be capable of more if he had the back of someone like Linderman. I think you've inferred the wrong message, I dont think Linderman and Sylar are working together yet, Im just trying to say that both of them would be much more dangerous if they were working together.

I think they're both bad, and I think they're both doing bad deeds. I think Sylars is more straightforward and foolish, he's working small-time. Linderman is slow working, and shadow-dancing, a definate sign of a arch-villain. We still dont know much about Linderman, but right now he doesnt even seem to have a power and hes standing in the way of so many heroes. Taking into account of his position in Vegas, and the general feel of the character (that weird little guy hes got in his employ, all those guards who were slaughtered, etc.) are definately signs of this guys demeanor. I read somewhere that Linderman has even been casted, so right now all we have is a personality and actions to work with. If he does have a power, Im hoping for something offensive or manipulative, but that's just wishful thinking. As is the Sylar Linderman thing.

Im 95% sure they aren't cohort's yet, but I think I may have stumbled upon a future story arc. Linderman seems to know whats going on, even before the time-traveler and possibly the guy who can paint the future. (Hiro,Isaac.) Maybe hes got some kind of insight as an ability, which would make him naturally gravitate towards such a job as gambling, his 'bad guy' demeanor makes it vegas, and the possibility of the super-power mixed with everything else means he may just be trying to slow the heroes progress because of some ulterior and maniacly evil plan. The bomb isnt really much more than an event like a kegger to get the heroes together.

These are all surmisses after watching each episode so far atleast twice, and I guess "my ability" would be to think like a writer. Thanks everyone for chiming in!

I don't think that Linderman's Nathan and Peter's dad, but I'm still hoping that they're not related so my entire Claire x Peter theory works again XDD

No, I don't think HRG will go. Someone's going to go, but I don't think that it's Mr. Bennet.
