so a fire mom+ flying dad=regenerating daughter

split personality/super strength mom(w/e she is)+dad who can phase through solid objects=boy that can talk to machines

i guess my question is: did they end up with powers because both of their parents have them?

Most likely, If one parent had powers and had a child then the child would have 50% chance of having powers also. But if both had powers then that would make a 100% chance, No?.

Yeah, the powers of the parents definately don't have much to do with the power that the child gets. Wouldn't/doesn't make much sense.

They keep describing these powers in terms of "a genetic marker". So if someone has this particular marker, they have an ability. The parents' abilities don't necessarily have to have anything to do with the kids' abilities.

It must be a dominant gene then? ... I wonder if people who have the gene are generally more attracted to others with the same gene, because that seems to be the pattern with a few of the Heroes, or is it just a coincidence?

It just seems to make sense to me...for two people with abilities to have a kid with abilities.
But I don't know if the powers of the parents have any effect on the powers of the child.
At first I thought it was sort of like an eye color thing, if the dad has blue and the mom has green...the kid will have either blue, green, or a blueish green.
>.> following this...Micah ought to have either super strength, phasing or super phasing.
and Claire should be able to either fly, manipulate fire, or manipulate flying fire. >.> or fly with the aid of fire.
I don't know...I got a C in Bio, so the whole genes thing is a tad over my head.

I don't think it's 75% chance.
Micha and Claire have different abilities from their parents. I would believe they inherit these abilities from their ancestors. Just a coincidence.
