I think Peter does have some sort of side ability that has to do with dreams. First there was the dream he had of Simones father, but then in the recent episode he had a dream of nathan's car crash. So, either there is someone close to Peter we haven't seen who has dream powers, or Peter himself has the ability.

i am still under the impression that it is Simone's father that has a ability related to dreaming. Peter hasn't had any more dreams of that nature since Mr. Deveaux died. that's my two cents. | |

I think astral projection isnt his main power. In fact we know whos power it is, or at least close. Sanjog Iyler i believe it was. I know this is a little far fetched but what if all peter's dreams have somehow been connected to that kid. It could happen....

Actually Peter did have a "dream", in the last episode. He dreamed, as he was "passing out" that he was the source of the "nuclear" explosion. I think this implies that Simone's father did not have any special powers, per se. But this is very telling as to Peter's powers... The future Hiro says, when he comes to peter on the subway: "You look different without your scar." "You speak your mind. You know who you are. You know what you want. That's your power." Then "Be the one we need you to be... Save the Cheerleader, save the world!" The point is that the middle part of that conversation was put in there by the writers for a specific reason. The scar sentence has to do with the future, which is neat, and of course the be the one we need indicates that Peter is more important than the rest. I think this more than anything else is why so many have concluded that Peter will be "the one" that saves the world. But the "speak your mind" and "That's your power" lines were put in there for a purpose. They are telling and as such I think that they offer a hint as to what his ulimate power is. I ultimately agree that the writers are going for the "Empath" power for Pete. But just what specifically comes with that, who knows. Possibly whenever someone he is close with has an emotional or life altering transaction, Peter tunes in empathically. That would explain how he saw Nathan's accident and Simone's father's discussion. But it is also interesting how he seems to be "seeing future events". The building/flying dream and now the radioactive Peter dream. These are foretelling, one of which did come true. So what aspect of empathy could this be? Why dream of the future? This one perplexes me, but ultimately I think it will be tied to overall empathic powers.

I was thinking today how peter could have come in contact with someone whose power is that of a dreamer. What I mean is the visions that he has of the future since it makes no sense that he has that power initially with his absorbtion power. Then I thought wouldnt it be wild if the person he got that forcasting power from was Simone's father who I remember saying something about him having a dream that peter had also. Any thoughts?
