Peter Vs Sylar

Something just occured to me...if Sylar can survive gunshots does he really need Claire's ability?

Now maybe this falls along the theory that it is Peter who can become his ultimate nemesis, so he wouldnt want Peter to get her power. But other then that I cant see why he would really need her powers.

Hopefully my question will be ansewered next week.

The thing is we dont really know how SYLAR survived being shot. It could be something as simple as a kevlar vest or a power that gives him steel like skin. We dont really know that the bullets actually penetrated. If they didnt and Peter has Sylars powers and Claires then I give the advantage to Peter. We also have to think that others may be there as well. Eden, Isaac, Haitian, Matt, Hiro, Niki, DL...etc. How many of them will be there? Imagine the possibilities if peter has the use of all of there abilities as well as Sylars. Huge advantage to Peter. Especially if he developes a Niki like dark side that gets pissed at Sylar....look out.

Peter will fight Sylar... and will get seriously hurt and/or maimed. Maybe the cheerleader sticks around to try to shake peter, unknowing that he is dead/close to dead. Well since she gets close to him... he somehow taps into her regen powers but not to the point of full recovery. She runs off thinking Peter dead and Sylar pursues. The next episode will probably show a shaky Peter standing up to persue Sylar. Healed enough to get moving again... but out of Claire's powers of influence to heal him perfectly. Leaving him healing with a nasty scar.

Another thing. Peter can only tap in a person's power barely until he knows what to focus on. IE his brothers flight. He could levitate while talking to his brother about flying. Not actually fly around. He only flew enough to save his life that time when his brother tried to catch him in the air. Also he painted the picture after seeing a shimmer of what it might look like. He concentrated then opened his *psychic eyes*, then was able to finish it. So I am thinking that since he is probably going to be unconscious that he won't tap into the full powers of Claire. So Sylar would probably get the best of him the first episode they fight and when he gets up from the healing... he destroys Sylar because he will have a better understanding of his powers.

Why do I think this? When Future Hiro visits Peter he says that he barely recognizes him WITHOUT his scar. Apparently a scar of some sort is going to disfigure him a bit. OH I JUST thought of something.... Future Hiro gives the message and leaves in a hurry.... makes a mention of risking a tear in the fabric of time. Why?!?!? Because Peter doesn't fully understand at that point that his powers are mimicking his brothers(and others). He hasn't yet *painted* the picture at Issac's place. And Peter has the knack of accidentally opening the power of someone else... as seen in the episode where he finishes the picture for Issac. Peter/Hiro combination could destroy reality. That's why he left the quick message and practically ran out of there!

Total speculation... but that's what I would do if I were writing the show.

I'm pretty sure they would both win... since Peter IS Sylar. Nikki + Peter = Sylar!!!

I agree with VincentVega. If sylar was a future peter - then that future peter would also know that hiro traveled back into the past to visit him.

Well it is true that going back in time and changing little things can have a very big effect.

The overall idea is a bit far fetched but still it can be done. I guess we'll haev to wait and see.
